He is the Eternal Lover. and He allows no competitors. not that any thing or person could compare to Him. but we are human. and are taken for fools. and are often tricked with ease. i have tasted of lovers. have forfeited my will to them. they are without flavor, mostly. their promises are ephemeral and their affection, transient. they are people. ideas. things. practices. worries that i have bent my knee to. their fraility and fickleness have taken hold of me. but there is a Love that breaks strongholds. and i am glad to lean on Him.
